Cristina spent five years playing for the McMaster Marauders Varsity Women's Soccer Team from 2008-2012. An outstanding defender, Cristina was a team captain, and a two-time OUA All Star, leading her team to three OUA Final Four Tournaments during her time at McMaster. Following her varsity playing career, she spent several years as an assistant coach with Hamilton Sparta and Woodbridge Soccer Club, prior to moving to Ottawa in 2017.
Cristina went on to study at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and recently completed her Masters in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in the field of applied sports psychology. She currently works in private practice as a sports-focused chiropractor and mental performance coach. She has worked with many Ottawa sports teams from the professional level to amateur level, including mental performance consulting in 2019 with the Algonquin Women’s Soccer Team. Most recently, she works as the lead therapist for Atletico Ottawa, who competed in their inaugural season in 2020. She has also worked closely with the OPDL as the Eastern Region Medical Coordinator.
Immensely competitive, Cristina refuses to hang up the boots and still plays competitively in the Ottawa Carleton Soccer League.
