Ottawa, Ont. - The Algonquin Wolves women's soccer team is pleased to announce their second recruit for the 2025-2026 season, Charlize Baker.
A native of North Bay, Ontario, Baker joins the Wolves as a versatile midfielder/striker, and is a product of the Junior Lakers program. Charlize will be studying Fitness and Health Promotion at Algonquin College this fall. When asked why she chose Algonquin, she pointed to both the academic and athletic opportunities the school provides.
After finishing the 2024 season with a 7-2-1 record, the Wolves fell just short of advancing past the OCAA Qualifier. With many of the core group of players returning, the addition of Charlize gives the Wolves even more depth to help them make a push for the podium this season. Charlize is eager to make her mark at the next level. "I'm most looking forward to playing and competing at the next level of soccer with a great team," she said.
Welcome to the Pack Charlize!
