After sweeping the road double header against the George Brown Huskies, the Wolves are looking forward to Home Opening Weekend! Algonquin will host a pair of double headers against the Fleming Phoenix and Durham Lords on Saturday and Sunday.
We are excited to announce that starting this season all home varsity games are free of charge for all Algonquin Students, College Staff, SA Staff and Algonquin Alumni who show their AC card at the door!
The women's team is hoping for more success on Saturday as they face a Fleming team who will be looking for their first win after falling to Cambrian last weekend. The last time these two teams met the Wolves came away with a 7-0 win in Peterborough back in 2023.
The men are in a similar position as they look to remain undefeated against a Phoenix squad who also dropped their opening game to Cambrian. When they met back in 2023 Algonquin came out on the positive side of a 9-0 final.

On Sunday the Wolves will welcome the Durham Lords to town who will make the short trip down from Kingston after taking on the St Lawrence Surge the night before. The Lords women's team is off to an 0-2 start after dropping back to back games against tough opponents in Seneca and Cambrian last weekend. Algonquin will be looking for revenge after falling to the Lords 4-2 back in the 2023 season.
The men's matchup promises to be a good one. Durham currently sits at the top of the OCAA standings with a 1-0-1 record after a tie with Seneca and a convincing win over Cambrian last weekend. The Wolves and Lords met twice last season with Algonquin coming away with a 1-0 regular season victory and a 4-2 win in the first round of the OCAA playoffs. A strong weekend from the team would help them continue to climb up the CCAA National Rankings where they currently sit in 9th.
