AYSLIN STEVENSON COMMITS TO ALGONQUIN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FOR THE 2025-26 SEASON

AYSLIN STEVENSON COMMITS TO ALGONQUIN WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FOR THE 2025-26 SEASON

Let's get to know the Wolves women's basketball team's newest recruit, Ayslin Stevenson.  The 5'9 guard / forward is a home grown product from Earl of March Secondary School and the Ottawa Capitals JUEL program.

Ayslin, who was awarded the most dedicated player and MVP award at Earl of March, will be studying in the Police Foundations program at Algonquin this fall.  We asked her a few questions to get to know her better.

Talk to us about your playing style.  What are your strengths on the floor?

"I am a pretty versatile player, who is able to perform in a post or guard role. My main strengths are my shooting and finding ways to space for the best shot, as well as using my body to maintain or gain positioning."

What made you choose Algonquin?

"I chose Algonquin because it offers unique hands-on programs and amazing facilities. Algonquin has a great reputation for making students feel part of a larger community."

What are you most looking forward to?

"I am most looking forward to getting to meet new people and getting started on and off the court!"

Ayslin and the Wolves will get to work in early September in preparation for the 2025-26 season.  With a lot of new faces on the roster this year, we are looking forward to seeing the team compete on the court.  The OCAA is set to release the 2025-26 schedule later in June.
