Coach Kooijman brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the head coaching position of the Algonquin Wolves men’s volleyball team. He has functioned as a head coach for the Mavericks Volleyball Club and the Ontario Volleyball Association. He has also been a combination of volleyball trainer and coach for Sportservice Amsterdam and the SVU Volleyball Club.
He has volleyball a trainer licences from Nevobo (the Dutch National Volleyball Association) and Volleyball Canada that complement his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Movement Science from VU University Amsterdam and his European Master in Sport and Exercise Psychology degree from the University of Thessaly, Trikala, Greece; and the University of Jyvaksyla, Finland.
He has also functioned as a Mental Performance Consultant for his own company, JWK Mental Performance Training, and as a Sport Psychology Coach for the Carleton Ravens women’s soccer team, so he will be well suited to foster his team’s success both on the court and off.
