Maverick Volleyball product Jonah Dekker-Bauer joins his current teammate Jambo Harley in the 2025-26 Algonquin Wolves men's volleyball recruiting class. Jonah is a 5'10 setter from Ottawa, Ontario who attended and played for École secondaire publique Pierre-de-blois. Coach Jelle Kooijman is excited to add another local player to his young core.
Dekker-Bauer will be studying Pre-Health sciences during his time at Algonquin College. The state of the art Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre played a key role in his choice. When asked why he chose Algonquin, Jonah answered "The opportunity to play in the amazing facilities." He also stated his excitement to be able to get a quality education while continuing to play volleyball at a post-secondary level.
