PLAYOFF PREVIEW - WOLVES TRAVEL TO SUDBURY THIS WEEKEND FOR CROSSOVER MATCH

PLAYOFF PREVIEW - WOLVES TRAVEL TO SUDBURY THIS WEEKEND FOR CROSSOVER MATCH

The men's volleyball has had an up and down season, but have shown signs of improvement in the second half of the season as 3 of their 4 losses in the winter semester went to a 5th set. They finished in 7th place in the OCAA East with an 8-10 record, and will face the 2nd seed in the West, the Cambrian Shield (14-4).

Cambrian have won the bronze medal in back-to-back years and are currently on a 10-game winning streak. 2nd year right-side Liam Hansen carried the bulk of the offensive duties as he finished 2nd in the OCAA in kills with 218. The Wolves will rely heavily on their vets; 5th year Mahmoud Abdelaziz, and 4th year Liam Arnold-Paquette for offense on the outside. Where the Wolves have the edge statistically on the Shield is block defense as the Wolves have 145, while the Shield have 112.  1st year stand-out Mateo Nunez Kruus could be the x-factor for the Wolves as he finished 4th in the OCAA with 42 blocks, and has shown he be a threat on offense in the middle as he is second on the team with 124 kills.
