The men's and women's volleyball teams will take on the Georgian Grizzlies on Saturday January 25th in their final home game of the regular season.
The women's team will be looking to sweep the season series against the Grizzilies, having beaten them 3-1 in their first meeting of the season. Some history was also made in that match, as first year left side Carys Tenthorey set the OCAA single-game record for aces in a match with 17. Thenthorey is currently leading the OCAA in total aces for the season, and will be looking to hold on to that lead with only 2 matches remaining after this weekend.
The men's team will have their hands full as the Grizzlies are the #1 seed in the East Division, and #2 Ranked team in the OCAA. The Wolves did give the Grizzlies a run for their money in their first meeting, losing in a highly competitive 5 set match.
The Wolves will also be celebrating the achievements of their graduating seniors Mahmoud Abdelaziz, and Malcolm Spence, as they play in their final home game as Algonquin Wolves.
