The Wolves Men's Rugby season is fast approaching, and the OCAA has officially released the 2024 schedule.
Algonquin will kick off their 5 game regular season at home on Saturday September 14th at 1:00 pm when the 2023 silver medalists Humber Hawks come to town. The team will then hit the road on back to back weekends to take on Conestoga and Seneca before returning home for their final regular season home game against the 2023 bronze medalists Durham Lords. The Wolves will finish off the regular season with a short trip to Kingston on October 19th to take on the St. Lawrence Surge.
The OCAA playoffs begin on October 26th and 27th with the quarter-final round. The semi-finals will take place the following weekend and the medal round on November 9th and 10th.
All Wolves home games will take place at Twin Elm Rugby Park.
Coach Geoff Tomlinson's squad made their return to OCAA competition in 2023 after 3 long seasons off. It was a true rebuilding year for the program with Algonquin fielding the youngest roster in the OCAA. The Wolves are coming into 2024 having gained valuable experience the year prior, and are hoping that experience will pay off on the pitch this fall.
