Ottawa, ON - The OCAA has officially released the 2025 schedules for men's and women's rugby, with the Wolves set to kick off their season on September 13.
The men's team enters its third season since returning to OCAA competition and will open at home against the reigning silver medalists, the Conestoga Condors. They'll then head out for back-to-back road games, visiting the Sheridan Bruins on September 20 and the Durham Lords on September 28. The Wolves return home to face the St. Lawrence Surge on October 4 and the Georgian Grizzlies on October 19, before wrapping up the regular season away against the Seneca Sting. While their only win last season came by forfeit, the Wolves remained competitive in several contests—including a narrow 42-33 loss to Seneca.
The women's team is coming off a 6-8 season and a fourth-place finish after falling 22-7 to the Humber Hawks in the bronze medal match. Their 2025 campaign begins with a tournament in Belleville on September 13, where they'll face the St. Lawrence Surge, Durham Lords, and Loyalist Lancers. The Surge and Lords are last season's gold and silver medalists, making this an early test for the Wolves.
The team will then compete in two back-to-back two-day tournaments—first in Oshawa (September 20–21) and then in Brampton (October 4–5)—taking on Humber, Conestoga, Seneca, and Fleming at both events. The Wolves close out the regular season at home on October 18 at Twin Elm Rugby Park, once again hosting the Surge, Lords, and Lancers.
The top six teams in the women's league will qualify for the OCAA Championship, hosted by Conestoga College in Kitchener from October 24–25. After two consecutive fourth-place finishes, the Wolves are aiming to return to the podium for the first time since earning bronze in 2022.
