Ottawa, ON - The OCAA has officially released the 2025 women's and men's soccer schedules and the start of the season is less than 3 months away.
After finishing 1st in the OCAA East and earning double silver at provincials and nationals in 2024, our men's team is hungry to get back on the pitch to prepare for another season and hopefully a deep playoff run.
Our women's team had a successful regular season finishing 3rd in the OCAA East. A tough 3-2 loss at home to the Durham Lords in the qualifying round ended their 2024 campaign. With a large part of the team returning this year they are eager to avenge last season's playoff loss.
It won't take long for our women's team to get their chance at revenge as the season for both squads will start on Friday September 5th in Oshawa where they will take on the Durham Lords. The women's game will kick-off at 6:00 pm with the men's game to follow at 8:15 pm. The teams will finish off the 1st weekend in Peterborough on Saturday September 6th when they take on the Fleming Phoenix.
Your first chance to catch the Wolves at home will take place on Wednesday September 10th when the St. Lawrence Surge will make the short trip down from Kingston. The women's game will open up the double header at 6:00 pm with the men's game to follow at 8:15 pm.
OCAA soccer welcomes a new team in 2025. The Lakehead University Orillia Thunderwolves are getting set for their inaugural season and will compete in the East division. They will be in Ottawa for a double header on Saturday September 20th at the Algonquin Sports Field.
The playoffs will start on Wednesday October 15th with the Qualifying round, followed by the Quarter-Finals on Saturday October 18th and the Final Four October 24th to 26th. The CCAA National Championship will run from November 3rd to 9th. Red Deer Polytechnic from the ACAC will be the host for the women's tournament while Champlain Saint-Lambert from the RSEQ will host the men's.
