MYSHA JANIF SET TO JOIN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FOR 2025-26 SEASON

MYSHA JANIF SET TO JOIN WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FOR 2025-26 SEASON

The Wolves Women's Volleyball team is looking to build off of another strong regular season, where they finished 4th in the OCAA East with a 12-6 record. Although they ultimately came up short in the playoffs, their young core gained valuable experience and look poised to make another run as the majority of the team will be returning. This includes veterans Gabbie Paquette, Grace Pate, and Isabella Tourangeau, as well as rookie stand-outs Carys Tenthorey and Riley Lancia who both were named OCAA 2nd Team All-Stars as well as being named to the OCAA East All-Rookie Team.

Looking ahead to next season the Wolves are pleased to announce their first recruit of the season, Mysha Janif, a 5'5 setter from Surrey British Columbia. Janif brings a unique athletic background to the court, having danced competitively and played tennis for 10 years. Mysha played for Fraser Valley Volleyball Club, and Grandview Heights Secondary School.

Janif will be studying Business at Algonquin College this fall. When asked why she chose Algonquin, she shared, "The community stood out to me, and I immediately felt welcomed by my teammates and coaches." She's also looking forward to bonding with her new teammates, embracing the challenge of collegiate volleyball, and experiencing her first year away from home.

With a strong core of returning players, and fresh talent like Janif joining the pack, the Wolves are already laying the foundation for what promises to be another exciting season.
